My Lil' Old Man

Miles had a small skin abnormality removed a couple months ago. It looked like a little red mole on his upper chest and the biopsy said it was benign, but it can occur in the eyes as well as on the skin, so we were referred to an Ophthalmologist for further testing. On Tuesday, we went to the Eye Associates for Miles follow-up. He sat through 2.5 hours of eye testing and dilation procedures and all in all he was a very good patient. He left with a smiley face ball, a couple of stickers and a huge bubble wand (from our neighbor who is the office manager there).

Because he had his eyes dilated, they gave him a big pair of paper sunglasses to wear out. When we got home he was very excited to show Daddy all of his loot and his new eye wear. The outcome was nothing but good news: Miles has no signs or symptoms of the skin abnormality with his eyes and at this point he has 20/20 vision and is leaning toward the eyes in my family and not his Dad's. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they stay that way and these are the only kind of glasses he ever has to wear.
