Hottest Summer Ever!!

This has undoubtedly been the warmest summer yet. I would say it's just because I am pregnant, but everyone is complaining. If it's not the temperature in the mid 90's, it's the humidity. It has been too hot to come out of the house unless you are going to an air conditioned car and then to an air conditioned building. Of course this summer we don't have a pool and I had to put my membership on hold at the Y because the doc put me on restrictions earlier in the pregnancy. So now we just await the dreaded electric bill every month because the air is running non-stop and set as cold as possible because I am ALWAYS hot. I do feel bad for my husband at night sometimes when I look over and he is buried up to his neck in covers and I am laying as far away from the covers as I can manage and yes, I am still WARM!

There are only 10 weeks left of my misery and it feels like a lifetime. We still have a nursery to put together and paint, the hospital to tour and a baby shower that is in month that we have yet to register for even though invitations go out in 2 weeks. I guess some things are just harder to get motivated for when it's your second kid. With the first you are so excited because everything is so new, but with the next, you know what to expect and if you don't rest now you know you won't find any time when the baby comes. Plus everything feels like it takes extra effort when you throw a three year old into the mix.....even staying cool!
