Surgery on TV

One of the little boys from our Microtia message board had his ear reconstruction filmed by the Discovery Health Channel. It was done by the same doctor that we are considering using. It will air next Sunday, Jan. 14th, on the DHChannel at 10pm. It is on 8pm our time. The show is called "Plastic Surgery, Before and After". If you have this channel and are interested in the procedure, try to tune in. Just be aware this is a very graphic surgery, so if you can't stomach it, you might not want to watch. The boy's name is Connor and he is from Ireland. We've seen his pictures on the board, but are excited to see it on TV.

Snow and More Snow !

We woke up this morning to snow, AGAIN! They told us we would get an inch or two starting today, but at 7:30am, we already had the two and it was working on more.

The house is an infirmary and I can't leave. Miles and Chris are both sick. Miles was running a temperature all yesterday and through the night, and Chris is coughing and sneezing with the chills. I'm not sick yet, but I usually come in last in our house when it comes to colds, and most are twice as bad. But at least I am healthy enough right now to dole out the baby Motrin and Echinacea tea....yeah!

Here's a little picture of "sick" Miles yesterday, laughing at the word "boo boo". You can't tell a 10 month old to take it easy when the Motrin kicks in.
