Daddy's Bday at Kenney Space Center

We took Chris to Cocoa Beach and Kennedy Space Center for his 40th birthday. Outside of Avery keeping everyone awake at the hotel, we had a great time. Chris had the camera and Miles, while I walked through the exhibits with Avery at a much quicker pace, so most pictures are just of Miles. Chris loved his trip, but the highlight for the kids was seeing Santa on vacation:)

On the bus tour:

The Saturn 5:

The kids thought a water fight would be a good idea, but both hated being in wet shirts, so while Daddy rode  the Space Shuttle Experience, they let their shirts dry in the sun:

Rocket Garden:

Piggy back to the car:

Throughout the exhibits, we kept seeing someone who looked like Santa. On the way out, I asked Miles if he thought that was Santa on vacation. He said yes and got very excited. Coincidentally, we followed Santa out to the car and Miles continued to talk about it. Santa turned around came back over and gave the kids each a little wooden coin that said "I was caught being good by Santa" and on the reverse, "Made especially for you in Santa's Workshop". He then posed for pics with us and another family. It was very nice of him to take time out of his vacation to say hi to the kids and pose for pictures. It made their weekend!!!

This must have been the real Santa cause Avery never goes by the ones in the mall ;)
