Latest Pictures

The kids' school held their first Mother/Son dance and Father/Daughter dance a couple of weekends ago. They were on separate days, so it was nice for each of the kids to have something they could do on their own with one of us. Avery was considerably more excited about her's than Miles was, but that is a boy and an age thing.

My phone camera has been acting up in dark light, but these are Miles' best friends this year, Landon and Aryan (at the dance):

The flu hit our house pretty hard this year. Miles, Chris and Avery all succumbed to it for two weeks each.

Avery enjoying a beautiful day outside the best she could with the flu:

Miles birthday was postponed until this past weekend because of his flu. We rented a video game truck that came to the house and had 13 of his friends over for the party. It was a big hit. I didn't get many photos, because apparently 10 year old boys are over getting their pictures taken at birthday parties. I was just the annoying lady with the camera, so I only grabbed a few when I could:)

Inside the truck held up to 16 players on 4 screens:

Outside held another 8:

Almost forgot the cupcakes. Slipped them in right at the end. Sang happy birthday, handed them all out and sent them all home :)

Motley crew!

The really tall kid in the back is actually in middle school and he is one of Miles' friends from chess, but he is tall for his age. The rest of the kids are all fourth graders except another middle schooler, not in the picture. The second tallest kid is actually the same age as Miles and his other friends and is in Miles' class at school. My kids don't stand much of a chance of being tall, but at least right now there's only a few that tower over them. Avery is actually in the picture below. If you look behind Miles' shoulder you'll see a little face peeking out. She was determined to be part of the party since she wasn't old enough to play in the video game truck.

Somebody was a bit jealous of Miles party that day, but she made it through:)
