Disney 2012

We went to Disney this weekend and took advantage of the Florida Resident Three Day Pass. We all had a great time, although it could have been a bit cooler, but that's Disney in May!

 Epcot:

They had the Flower and Garden Festival going on this month and the grounds of all the parks were beautiful!

In Tinkerbell's Garden at Epcot:

At Magic Kingdom:
Avery wore her Minnie Mouse costume to Magic Kingdom

After waiting an extremely long time for the character greeting, Avery finally got to meet the Disney Princesses. It was the highlight of the trip for her and well worth the wait to see how excited she was to meet them.

 Parade at Magic Kingdom:

Miles had no interest in being in the castle picture and from the looks of it Avery really wasn't either:
 A little bit more excited:

On the people mover at Tomorrowland:

On the Peter Pan ride:

Small World:

Nap time:

On Ferryboat ride back to the hotel to rest:

Back in time for the Electrical Light Parade:

Avery waved at all the floats:

Tree house:

We took a break in the evening to go back to the hotel and eat dinner. By the time we got back to Magic Kingdom, it was almost 9pm and we had planned to see the fireworks at 10, ride the Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Jungle Boat ride and go back to the hotel. By the time we got back to the rides, we found out both rides were down for technical issues and would supposedly be up and running soon. So we bought some time at the Tiki bird show.

Avery was really winding down at this point

Getting very sleepy:

Miles was barely awake:

One kid down, one to go:

Our experiment to keep the kids up as long as possible.......failed!!:

Sunday at Animal Kingdom Character Greeting:

Being sweet:

Shortly after the above picture was taken, Miles got in trouble for being mean to his sister, so he spitefully made a bad face in her picture with Minnie.........so like the nice mom that I am, I cut him out!!

All better:

Chip and Dale were the absolute best with the kids:

Avery made up a story about having to go potty to go see Thumper and Ms. Bunny over by the bathrooms.

In the Nature Center at Animal Kingdom:

Listening to the rain forest in the sound booth:

 Big rhino:

 More rain forest sounds:

With Rafiki:

Ice cream break on a very hot day:

Safari ride:

 Big hippos:

This might as well have been a roller coaster with how bumpy the safari jeep ride was, but when you need a nap, you take one. She slept through most of the ride, and then a little in the stroller after.

Bye Disney....see you again soon!
