Chess and Vacation

We recently took Miles to McAllen, TX to compete in the State Scholastic Grade Championships. He did very well, losing only the first two games and then going on the win the next 5 in a row. His best performance at a weekend tournament this size yet. After the tournament, we rented a cottage in Corpus Christi and had a 3 day vacation to do some beach time and sight seeing.

It wasn't like the beach in Florida, but it's pretty good for Texas. The kids had a great time.
