If yellow roses grow in heaven, Lord, then pick a bunch for me. Place them in my Daddy's arms & tell him they're from me. Tell him that I love & miss him, & when he turns to smile, place a kiss upon his cheek & hold him for awhile. Because remembering him is easy, I do it every day, but there's an ache in my heart that will never go away.
(From Chris' Facebook page - thought it was really special)
Happy Father's Day Dad!!!

Miles Rides His Bike

Miles learned to ride his bike without training wheels this past weekend. We told him he could get a new helmet when he learned how. It is amazing how fast they pick these things up. We spent a couple of days with me running behind him holding his shirt and then all of a sudden he was just doing it.
His friend Tyler has known how to ride since he was 3 and Miles has shown no interest. We didn't push it, but thought it would be nice if the boys could ride together, so we went and got him a bigger bike as motivation (which he will ride once he masters this little one) and told him we were going to practice. He still wasn't very interested and looked at it like he does his homework. But with a little persistence and moving back down to learn on the little bike in a few days he got it.
He is sooooo proud of himself and we are too! Now that's all he wants to do. He even does "skids" when he stops. I'm sure there will be a few falls along the way, but it is part of the "rite of passage"......I still remember my first fall or should I say 'I'll never forget!' Here is Miles riding all the way down to the Ewwww (retention pond) and back. If you ask he'll tell you he found his balance at the Ewwwww:

Happy Birthday Aunt Lorna

Hope you have a great day!
With love from all of us.

Hands On

No, Miles didn't take a whack at his little sister. This is what happens when you're a baby and sleeping on your own hand doesn't bother you.
