Pregnancy Pics

Not a fan of my own picture being taken, my photographer friend, Rita, talked me into doing photos while pregnant. She is currently working on taking pics of Avery now that she is here, but here are two from when she was still in. They were taken the week before Avery was born, so I am the size of a small planet, but I really liked the way she captured the light in the first photo and the pic with Miles is one of the few he would pose for. It captures a bit of his sweetness and I especially like that I got to share this with him.

Little Funny

My husband found this link on a friend's Facebook page. Couldn't help posting, as it gave us a good laugh this morning. (Beware of crude humor and colorful language.) Click on the image below and then click through the different page numbers above the pictures for a quick photo tutorial:

Time's Up

Today is the day! Chris finally went back to work after having two weeks off and I am officially taking care of two kids by myself. The only difference is at night when I have to feed the baby and Miles gets out of bed, then Chris has to be on standby to take him back to his room and lie down with him until he goes back to sleep. This whole "two kids" thing is going to take some getting used to and is going to be quite the change from having just one, especially in these early weeks.

Miles has a pretty bad cold after being in school for less than a week. I guess it could be worse, but he is staying home today. He doesn't seem to feel that bad. He is eating and playing like normal, but he is coughing and sneezing constantly and wiping his nose on his shirt and his entire arm every few minutes. Yuck!! Since I don't feel it is appropriate to share this lovely germ with the rest of his class, he will stay home today much to my dismay and will return to school hopefully on Wednesday. Luckily Miles will stay pretty entertained with his toys and movies and with a little luck, take a good nap later. The hard part is keeping him away from the baby while he is sick. So starts my challenge for the day. Did I forget to mention how incredibly exhausted I am? I could seriously fall asleep sitting here right now!!! Too bad I don't drink caffeine. I guess I will just have to load up on sugar :)
