Disney Reggae Dancing

We went to a Bob Marley restaurant for Dinner on the second night and while we were there a Reggae Band started playing. Avery loved it so much she wouldn't eat, she had to dance. It was very dark in there, so I converted the video to black and white to be able to see it better, but even so it is still quite dark. Just know she had a really good time.

Avery's 1st Trip To Disney

We spent three days at Disney World with the kids to use up the last couple of days on our Florida Resident Pass. It was Avery's first time and we had very low expectations. The first day we spent at the hotel and Downtown Disney. Day 2 was at Magic Kingdom and the last day was for a couple of hours at Animal Kingdom. Miles always has a good time and Avery seemed to be enjoying herself, although she smiled in very few of the pictures we took. She really liked meeting the characters and seeing the Lion King show. She also had a lot of fun at the LEGO store and the Disney Princess store.

There wasn't a whole lot of napping going on so as if on command Avery would fall asleep just as we were getting ready to leave each park. There weren't too many rides she could go on at her age, and the little kid area of Magic Kingdom was closed for renovations. We still got to ride Small World, Peter Pan, Pooh, Dumbo and Snow White, but I think for an almost 2 year old, that was sufficient. Miles probably would like to have done more, but he hung in there....barely. It was a pretty successful trip with no major meltdowns and everybody made it through Avery's first stay in a hotel.

Our weather couldn't have been better and even though the parks were pretty crowded, the sunny days and beautiful breeze made it comfortable to get from place to place. It was a little chilly for the hotel pool the first night, but that didn't stop Avery from getting right in, blue lips and all. Miles went in for five minutes and then spent the next half hour bundled from head to toe in pool towels, curled up on the lounge chair by the kiddie pool.

Here are a bunch of pics from our trip. Even though Avery wears her usual stoic expression, we think she had a pretty good time.
