Fruit Sleeper

Miles doesn't like to eat, plain and simple. I could sugar coat it or give excuses, but when it comes down to it, he would go the whole day playing and never stop to eat. He likes candy(specifically gummy fruit), a single slice of bread with one piece of cheese and potato chips with juice or milk. He gets bagels, mini muffins, fruit, pb & j, grilled cheese, soy nuggets, mac n' cheese, buttered pasta, raisins, pretzels, etc. Even though the list doesn't go on much further it is as much of a variety as I can get him to eat without too much rebuttal and by rebuttal I mean kicking and screaming. (BTW - Don't even mention meat cause it's not happening.)

Depending on the day, he might muster two or three bites of something and I have to call it done, but after his infant episodes with constipation, I can't be too lenient on his non-binding foods. Unfortunately, his dietary desires are severely limited. I gave up on veggies a long time ago and traded them for V8 vegetable juice which he really seems to like. Now it looks like fruits are getting pushed off the menu too. Unless it is an apple or a banana, it is not going down with out a fight. Most recently I tried mandarin oranges, which got smashed and pushed around the tray, but not eaten and when I left the room, with the TV off and no other source of entertainment, even sleeping became a better alternative to having to eat:

Prior to leaving the room, I could foresee that this little episode of avoidance might happen, so I decided to move his booster away from the arm of the couch, which would have made for a viable pillow, to the center of the couch which I thought would be a lot less comfortable. I apparently thought wrong........again!!

For those of you who thought "Gee, that tray looks pretty empty", look again:
