Miles' First Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving has passed and we are now heading toward Christmas. We spent the Pilgrim holiday with the Bergers, Gideon and Cassie, at their Denver apartment. They made an awesome turkey, with chestnut stuffing, a jalapeno-cranberry relish, bread, cheese and crackers, and plenty to drink. We brought sweet potatoes, more bread, some dessert and of course beer (Chris' home brew). They had a few other friends as well, who each came bearing edible gifts. We had lots of fun and even got Miles to nap for an hour and a half. He was the life of the party. He got "feline molested" very lovingly by the cat, Baxter, and even managed to spit up most of his dinner: baby food - sweet potatoes and turkey mixed with green vegetables and some vanilla pudding. This spurred an evening of laundry and a hushed conversation from our hosts in the laundry room that made us giggle: "I don't know how they do that.....yeah, that was nasty.......did you see him puke?.......it was all over the place.......so gross" (Someday, they too will learn the joys of parenthood...hopefully! ) Anyway, our thanks to the Bergers, it was a superb Thanksgiving with all the trimmings!
