Here is my latest attempt at cake baking. I did a mango butter cream frosting instead of fondant and I still didn't like it. The cake came out fine, although a bit sweet. I guess I just don't like cake. My mom's friend Riki was visiting her and she was nice enough to spend the morning with me teaching me how to make butter cream flowers. She is very much the expert and I was not a quick study, but I really appreciated her time. The sad daisies below were my attempt......I think I will stick to fondant flowers in the future.
