Happy Bath

Miles and Avery are completely different kids in so many ways. One of the most obvious is the bath. Miles loves his bath NOW, but at Avery's age it was a scream fest until he was about 4-5 months old. Avery actually will cry until she hits the water and then is at absolute peace. She has a pink bath chair that I wash her in and when we are all done, we spend some time off the chair, floating in the water......her favorite part. She had some great smiles for me, but by the time daddy got the camera, she was just hanging out.

Boppy Time

Align Center

In spite of all the crying, Avery can be a very happy baby. The moments are just few and far between. There's still hope though. They are starting to get closer together every week.

More Visitors

Chris' Tante Margie comes down to FL every year with her sister Marie for a visit and we are lucky enough each year to get to meet up with them. This year they had a new family member to meet.

Halloween 2009

This year since Halloween fell on a Saturday, one of our neighbors down the street threw a big pre-trick-or-treat party. Our friends from WI the Wilke's were in town as well and since they were away from their snowy streets we lent them our over-heated ones. It was quite hot, at least 90 degrees and everyone baked in their costumes. As usual Miles proved to be the professional trick-or-treater in the group and had to be reminded several times to slow down and stop getting so far ahead. We only had time for a couple of streets this year before the mosquitoes came out, but at least daylight savings was on Sunday and we had a little extra light.

All Better

Outside of a cough, Miles is feeling much better. It was a long weekend, but he made it and is now well enough to go back to school to get sick again! Yeah!!

FYI: NEVER, EVER give your child (or yourself) Tamiflu (research it, it is horrible). Miles had a bunch of nasty reactions from just one day's dose and I felt awful for giving it to him. I had to pour a $50 prescription down the drain. I try to avoid giving him any medication, but he was so sick, I felt I didn't have a choice, so I went against my better judgment and this time I definitely lost.
