Twinkle, Twinkle

Miles is a little behind most kids his age with a desire to sing. He has never had any interest in it and usually would tell us to "stop" when we would sing to him. All of a sudden he wants to sing with the songs he hears on TV, so I decided to start teaching him simple children's songs as well. We've started with easy ones that he should be able to remember and the only one he has any memory for right now is "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". Here is his attempt to sing it and even though he still doesn't know all the words, he gets through most of the song (with a silly face at the end for a picture).

Baby Shower

Saturday was our baby shower, given by my sister Kristina and her husband Bryan. She worked very hard on every detail. As promised, it wasn't too girlie, and everything turned out just perfect. Everyone seemed to have a great time and the food was delish! Unfortunately, nobody remembered to bring a camera, including us. Luckily, one of the ladies who came from the MOMs club group had her camera on her and offered to take some pictures. There aren't too many, but here are a few of the better ones.

Shower cake wrapped with cute gingham ribbon and filled with strawberries....yummy!

Kristina new that my favorite cake was a whipped cream cake and the bakery wouldn't make the larger cake out of whipped cream unless it was going to be refrigerated until serving so they made a smaller cake that we could take home and frosted the other with butter cream. They were both soooo good!

Good Old Days!

While looking through baby photos of Miles in search of a picture to send to a friend, I couldn't help but be reminded of how little he used to be. I almost don't remember him this small and he has changed so much. He had so many clothes that the only way to get any use out of all of them was to dress him up in several a day and just take a bunch of pictures.....hence the little coordinated outfits. These were always a few of my favorites:
